91% of Polish women know mammography saves lives — only 48% get screened regularly
While 91% of Polish women are aware that early detection of breast cancer saves lives, only 48% undergo regular mammography screenings, whether in public or private facilities. Everyday domestic and professional duties, as well as general fatigue, are the main barriers cited. Health experts warn that awareness alone is not enough to improve survival rates without action.
