Total solar eclipse darkens Greenland, Iceland and Spain — Europe's first since 1999

On August 12, millions of people across Greenland, Iceland and Spain are witnessing a total solar eclipse with a maximum totality of 2 minutes and 18 seconds — Europe's first since 1999. A partial eclipse covering more than 90% of the sun is also visible from major cities including London, Paris and Dublin.
