36 applications to close or repurpose hospital wards filed with NFZ

The National Health Fund (NFZ) has received 36 applications to close or repurpose hospital wards, the fund confirmed to PAP. Hospitals that choose to shut down a ward are to receive 50 percent of their lump-sum funding for two years. The scale of the trend raises concerns about the availability of in-patient care across Poland.
