Mensik demolishes Shelton, Tien advances — American night turns sour in Montreal

Defending champion Ben Shelton was knocked out of the Montreal ATP Masters 1000 tournament, losing to Jakub Mensik and winning only four games. Fellow American Learner Tien also advanced to the semi-finals. It was a disappointing title defence for Shelton.
