Appliance recycling is a sham — TVN investigation exposes fake documents and fictitious waste transport

Polish consumers pay a recycling fee when buying new home appliances, but a TVN "Superwizjer" investigation has found the recycling rarely happens. Instead, companies fabricate documents and stage fictitious waste shipments. Customers are effectively charged for a service that is never performed.
