Kopeć finishes fifth in European 60m final — Poland's best result in 44 years
Dominik Kopeć reached the European Athletics Championships 60m final only after British athlete Louie Hinchliffe, who had edged him out of the semi-finals by two hundredths of a second, withdrew injured. Racing in cold conditions with a headwind, Kopeć finished fifth — Poland's best result in that event in 44 years. Gold went to Britain's Romell Glave.
