US Medicaid to stop covering gender-affirming care for transgender minors

The Trump administration announced that Medicaid will stop covering gender-affirming surgeries and hormone treatments for transgender minors. The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) will also be barred from funding such treatments for those under 19.
