Accel closes oversubscribed $550M India fund in weeks

US venture capital firm Accel has closed an oversubscribed $550 million India-focused fund within weeks of launching it, 19 months after its previous India fund. The earlier $650 million fund still has more than 55% of its capital available for deployment. The rapid close signals strong investor appetite for Indian tech startups.
