Belarusian opposition figure Aliaksandr Milinkevich, Sakharov Prize laureate, dies at 79

Belarusian opposition politician and scientist Aliaksandr Milinkevich has died at the age of 79. He ran against President Aliaksandr Lukashenka in the 2006 Belarusian presidential election and was a recipient of the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
