Cuban immigrant deported from US ends up jailed in Eswatini, a country he'd never heard of
Roberto Mosquera, a Cuban immigrant who has lived in the US since 1980 and completed his prison sentence in 1996, was arrested by ICE last year and deported to Eswatini — an African country he had never heard of. After staging a hunger strike, he obtained a phone and spoke to The New York Times Magazine about his detention.
