August 12: Solar eclipse and Perseid meteor shower peak on the same evening

On August 12, astronomy enthusiasts will be able to witness two rare events in one evening: a solar eclipse followed after dark by the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. Across Poland, numerous public viewings and night-sky picnics have been organised for the occasion. It is a rare opportunity for stargazers throughout the country.
