Suspicious 27,000-contract trade on Żabka futures placed a month before takeover bid

Grzegorz Zalewski, an analyst at brokerage Dom Maklerski BOŚ, flagged a suspicious trade in which someone bought 27,000 futures contracts on Żabka one month before a takeover bid for the company was announced. The volume is extraordinarily high for an instrument normally among the least liquid on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The transaction raises questions about potential insider trading.
