Accell Group, owner of Batavus and Koga, on the brink of bankruptcy

Accell Group, the Dutch cycling giant that owns brands including Batavus, Sparta, Koga and Babboe, is in serious financial trouble. Dutch subsidiaries of the group have been granted a payment suspension and management has admitted the company can no longer meet its obligations on time. Bankruptcy proceedings are expected to follow, potentially wiping the brands from the market.
