Anthropic adds invisible watermarks to Claude-generated text and images

Anthropic is rolling out invisible watermarks embedded in text generated by its Claude AI model, as well as metadata in AI-generated images. The move is a response to EU regulations requiring identification of AI-created content. Users have reacted with alarm, worried about the implications of an invisible signature tracking their output.
