Chevrolet exits China as sales collapse from 700,000 to just 9,000 units a year

General Motors is pulling the Chevrolet brand from the Chinese market after a dramatic sales collapse. In 2014, Chevrolet sold 700,000 vehicles a year in China; by 2025 that figure had fallen to just 9,000. The withdrawal marks the effective end of one of America's most iconic car brands in the world's largest automotive market.
