Poland to pay 196,000 early retirees extra 500 zł/month instead of full back-pay
Poland's Ministry of Family is proposing a monthly top-up of 500 zł for around 196,000 seniors who retired early before 6 June 2012 and have been receiving reduced pensions. The plan includes no back-payment for years of underpayment and would also bar retirees from seeking full amounts through courts. Critics say the proposed increase is insultingly low given the losses accumulated over more than a decade.
