Polish government proposes minimum wage of 4,950 PLN gross from January
The Polish government has published a proposal to raise the minimum wage to 4,950 PLN gross from 1 January, with an hourly rate of 32.30 PLN. The opposition PiS has mocked the increase, while trade unions — who demanded at least 5,200 PLN — are openly angry. The proposal has sparked significant political and social controversy.
