Berek steps down from Tusk's cabinet to become Constitutional Tribunal judge

Maciej Berek, a minister in Donald Tusk's government, is set to be elected by the Sejm as a Constitutional Tribunal judge, likely in September. He would become the eighth judge on the Tribunal selected by the ruling coalition. Berek is expected to replace one of the so-called "substitute judges" whose election by the previous parliament was deemed legally flawed.
