India's monsoon rhythms are breaking down under climate change
India has long depended on the southwest monsoon, but climate change is disrupting its once-predictable rhythms. The country is experiencing droughts, sudden cloudbursts and deadly floods, sometimes in rapid succession. Infrastructure built for historical weather patterns is increasingly inadequate, exposing the growing human and economic costs of climate swings.
