ZUS to automatically write off old debts — but you can opt out

Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will automatically write off old debts without requiring debtors to submit an application. Those who do not wish to benefit from the write-off will have the option to opt out. The measure is intended to ease the burden on debtors with older outstanding obligations.
