French media file antitrust complaint against Google over AI article summaries

French media outlets have asked the country's antitrust watchdog to intervene against Google over its AI-generated article summaries, which they say deprive publishers of traffic. The tool delivers answers directly in search results, meaning users do not click through to the original articles. The complaint was filed by a press trade association on behalf of media organisations.
