Claude to invisibly watermark AI-generated text and images

Anthropic has announced that its Claude AI will begin embedding invisible watermarks in generated text and digitally signed provenance metadata in generated image files. The move is aimed at complying with European AI transparency regulations. The watermarks will be machine-readable only and will not visibly alter content for users.
