Mary Carole McDonnell, a producer of low-budget true-crime TV shows, allegedly built her life on an elaborate con, posing as an heiress to steal $30 million from victims. She has now been placed on the FBI's Most Wanted list and is the subject of a global manhunt. The case reads much like the crime stories she used to produce.
