Poland's Health Ministry to link doctors' salaries to their PESEL number

Poland's Ministry of Health plans to link doctors' salaries to their PESEL identification numbers to curb the widespread practice of holding multiple simultaneous hospital jobs – nicknamed "the United Medical Emirates". The move aims to ensure full transparency of total earnings paid from public funds. The system would allow authorities to monitor the aggregate pay each doctor receives across all public facilities.
