Salmonella outbreak at Międzywodzie rehab centre — 53 patients fall ill

Poland's State Sanitary Inspectorate (Sanepid) has confirmed a salmonella outbreak at a rehabilitation centre in Międzywodzie. Of 191 people staying at the facility, 53 patients reported symptoms including stomach pain, weakness and diarrhoea between 2 and 5 August. Laboratory tests confirmed salmonella in 15 of the patients.
