UOKiK chief: we stayed out of WIBOR working group to avoid legitimising bad solutions

UOKiK president Tomasz Chróstny told money.pl that the office chose not to join the National Working Group on WIBOR reform to avoid lending legitimacy to solutions it could not meaningfully shape. He argued that if problems arose later, the financial sector could invoke UOKiK's presence to justify its own decisions. The WIBOR reform aims to overhaul how interest rates are set on loans and financial contracts in Poland.
