Budapest: WWII unexploded shell found by Danube walker — then vanished before police arrived

Budapest police issued a public appeal after a passer-by reported finding an object resembling a shell on the bank of the Danube, but it disappeared before officers arrived. Authorities believe it is most likely a World War II unexploded ordnance exposed by the low water level of the river. Police are asking residents for any information on the object's whereabouts.
