Fake e-waste recycling worth billions exposed by Polish investigative journalists
Journalists from the Polish investigative programme "Superwizjer" have documented a scheme involving fictitious electronic waste transport: trucks drive across Poland with no cargo while the state system records false confirmations of waste operations. One of Poland's largest waste corporations is implicated in the fraud. Minister Andrzej Domański awarded the company a billion-zloty subsidy, raising serious questions about state oversight of the waste sector.
