GM exits $3.5B Indiana battery factory joint venture, Samsung SDI takes full control

General Motors is pulling out of its $3.5 billion joint venture with Samsung SDI to build a battery factory in Indiana. The Korean battery manufacturer will take full control of the project and still intends to construct the facility at the same site. GM's exit effectively ends the two companies' partnership on the venture.
