Czarzasty: Ukraine must call genocide by its name to join the EU

Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty said in Szczawnica that Ukraine's accession to the EU will require the country to reckon with all aspects of its history. He stressed that the EU is not just a source of funding but a union of democratic values. He specifically stated that EU membership means "calling genocide genocide" — a clear reference to unresolved Polish-Ukrainian historical disputes.
