Poles hold a record 456 billion zloty in cash at home

Polish households held cash totalling 456.4 billion zloty at the end of the first quarter of this year, according to a National Bank of Poland report. The NBP notes that the value of cash in circulation has been on a long-term upward trend. Poles rank among the most cash-dependent populations in the European Union.
