One extra year of work before retirement boosts monthly ZUS pension by 552 złoty

A man earning the average national wage who delays retirement by one year beyond age 65 would receive a ZUS pension of 4,599 złoty gross per month — 552 złoty more than if he had retired earlier, according to calculations by Super Express. Over a full year, that amounts to an extra 6,600 złoty in pension income. The figures illustrate the financial incentive to stay in work longer before claiming benefits.
