Polish government scraps annual poverty threshold indexation
According to OKO.press, the Polish government has quietly dropped its commitment to annually index the income thresholds that determine eligibility for social benefits. The change was buried in a second-quarter government priorities report, with Minister Maciej Berek's team simply rewriting the priority without public debate. As a result, low-income households risk losing access to social support as prices rise.
