Poland short 150,000 truck drivers despite salaries up to 20,000 PLN a month
Polish transport companies face a shortage of between 100,000 and 150,000 professional drivers, even as monthly salaries reach nearly 20,000 PLN. The existing workforce is ageing, young people avoid the profession, and non-EU recruits cannot fill the growing gap. High licensing costs and difficult working conditions are cited as the main reasons for the shortfall.
