Polish truffles may hit 2,400 PLN per kg as harvest falls 60–70%
Poland's truffle season is off to a severely disappointing start, with harvests down 60–70% compared to last year due to erratic weather and delayed picking. Mycologist Piotr Kwec estimates that a kilogram of fresh truffles could reach 2,400 PLN as early as September. The deficit is already pushing prices sharply higher on the Polish market.
