Europe running low on Patriot missiles as Ukraine prepares for winter assault

Europe is scrambling to find more Patriot interceptors for Ukraine ahead of Russia's expected winter assault, but stocks are nearly exhausted across key donor nations. In July, Ukrainian air defenses downed only 29 of 195 Russian ballistic missiles fired. Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov warned that Russia fires more missiles in a week than partners deliver in months. New production will arrive too late, and U.S. supplies have been strained by the war with Iran.
