Świątek to face Svitolina in WTA 1000 Toronto semi-final

Elina Svitolina defeated Yekaterina Alexandrova in three sets to reach the WTA 1000 Toronto semi-final against Iga Świątek. The Ukrainian has beaten the Polish player twice this season, giving Świątek the chance to avenge those defeats. Świątek had earlier dispatched Diana Shnaider in just 64 minutes.
