Strasbourg questions Poland over blocked Constitutional Tribunal judges

The European Court of Human Rights has formally communicated the case "Dziurda and Others v. Poland" to the Polish government. The case concerns four Constitutional Tribunal judges elected by the Sejm in March who have been blocked from adjudicating by TK President Bogdan Święczkowski. Strasbourg is demanding explanations and examining whether ignoring a May interim measure constituted a breach of international law.
