Indie ReStory hits $3 million in sales days after launch with 96% positive reviews

ReStory, an indie shop simulation game released on August 6 by publisher tinyBuild, recouped its entire budget within 12 hours of launch. Players run an electronics repair shop in mid-2000s Tokyo, fixing off-brand PS1 consoles and Polaroid cameras for quirky anime characters. By the following day it had grossed over $1 million across nearly 80,000 units sold, and by August 10 CEO Alex Nichiporchik confirmed total sales of $3 million. The game holds a 96% positive rating on Steam.
