11 Canadian wildfires send smoke blanketing the eastern United States

Eleven wildfires that broke out in Canada over the weekend sent a new wave of smoke blanketing large swaths of the eastern United States. A similar episode occurred in mid-July when Canadian fires previously affected the region. The smoke poses a health risk to millions of residents.
