Aleksandra Kuś skips European Championship mixed relay final after World U20 title

Polish teenage sprinter Aleksandra Kuś, 19, who recently became U20 world champion, will not compete in the mixed 4x400m relay final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The decision was effectively made before she even arrived in England, as she had already run three demanding races at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, where she broke a Polish record. Both Aleksandra and her mother Alicja Kuś — who serves as her coach and manager — commented on the decision.
