Yotvingian Archaeological Centre to be built near Suwałki

A Yotvingian Archaeological Centre is to be built in Szwajcaria near Suwałki, adjacent to a nature reserve containing a Yotvingian burial mound cemetery. The director of the Regional Museum in Suwałki signed the construction contract on Monday. The centre aims to educate visitors about the history and culture of the Yotvingians, a Baltic people who inhabited the region in the Middle Ages.
