Egypt: Massive ancient necropolis uncovered in the Nile Delta

Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities has confirmed the discovery of a large necropolis at Kom el-Khilgan in the eastern Nile Delta. Its origins date back to the Predynastic Period, making it one of the oldest such finds in the region. Excavations also revealed the remains of a settlement from the Second Intermediate Period.
