Italian businessman Lavitola named as mastermind behind journalist bomb attack

Italian police have identified Valter Lavitola — a former journalist, import-export businessman and Rome restaurant owner — as the mastermind behind a bomb attack targeting a journalist. Lavitola had close ties to the late former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Police announced the finding in an official statement.
