Polish historian: expecting Ukraine to reckon with UPA legacy is unrealistic

Prof. Dariusz Stola, director of the POLIN Museum, said it is unrealistic to expect Ukrainians to reckon with the legacy of the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) at this time. He drew a parallel with Poland's own difficult formations — the National Armed Forces (NSZ) and ONR. He also praised PiS as the only Polish party with a coherent memory policy, expressing respect for Kaczyński in that regard.
