Poland's MoD: citizens to get SMS alerts when jets scrambled due to Ukraine threat

Deputy Defence Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka announced that if Polish fighter jets are scrambled due to a dangerous situation related to Ukraine, citizens will be notified via SMS. The measure is part of planned changes to Poland's public warning system. The Ministry of Defence says it is drawing lessons from previous air-alert incidents near the Ukrainian border.
