Fajdek and shot putters Mazur and Bukowiecki reach European Championships finals

At the European Athletics Championships at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, Polish shot putters Szymon Mazur and Konrad Bukowiecki both qualified for the final. Hammer thrower Paweł Fajdek also advanced with a throw of 77.35 metres. However, defending champion Wojciech Nowicki failed to qualify for the hammer final.
