WHO recommends full Ervebo vaccine trial amid DR Congo Ebola outbreak

WHO vaccine experts on Friday recommended a full-scale human trial of Ervebo, the only currently approved Ebola vaccine, in response to the ongoing outbreak in DR Congo. The aim is to determine whether the vaccine offers cross-protection against a deadly new strain spreading in the country. Previous approvals were based on trials against a different Ebola strain.
