"Grab and run" — women around the world still forced into marriage

The practice of so-called bride kidnapping — abducting women and forcing them into marriage — remains widespread in numerous countries. Victims have no opportunity to consent or refuse. The problem affects both developing nations and immigrant communities in Europe and North America.
