Hiroshima atomic blast created a previously unknown metal alloy, new study finds

A new study reveals that the atomic blast in Hiroshima vaporised buildings, metal, glass, soil and water, and as these substances cooled and condensed they formed spherical glassy grains. Some of those grains contain a previously unknown metal alloy never seen before in science. The findings shed new light on the extreme physicochemical processes unleashed by nuclear weapons.
